Our proven and systematic approach gives you and your pet a clear path forward to a better life together.
Like everything in life, dog training has a beginning, middle, and end. This is the beginning of the beginning, for owners who aren’t sure if they or their dog are ready to start their training journey, Intro to Obedience gives everyone a taste of what training should feel like. In this program, you will learn basic skills such as how to hold and handle a leash, teach your dog to walk without pulling, and how to communicate effectively through two foundational commands.
Obedience 101 enables you to set expectations clearly, while helping your dog learn to communicate an understanding of what you’re asking of them and why. Advancing your leash handling skills, practicing foundational obedience commands, and providing mental stimulation for your dog will enable you to enjoy each other more as you progress into the next phase of training.
Become the anchor for your relationship with your dog, and help them shine with the exceptional behavior learned in AP Obedience. Off-leash training moves you both to the next level, so that when the time comes, you can safely and confidently enjoy them off leash at home, at the lake, or at the park. AP Obedience advances beyond leash handling to challenge and engage your dog with hand signal training, as well as advanced distraction work in parks and public spaces, so that reliable obedience becomes as fun as it is functional.
We offer additional training programs to suit more particular needs. These programs build on the skills learned in AP Obedience, and both dogs and their owners must graduate from AP Obedience before they can be considered candidates for our Specialty Training Programs.
Effective education depends on finding the right fit. We’ll take three steps to make sure we determine a good match for all involved.
